1. Nature of the Service

DecodeMyBio provides informational pharmacogenomic reports based on consumer DNA raw data. The Service analyzes genetic variants against published clinical guidelines (CPIC, DPWG) to identify potential drug-gene interactions.

DecodeMyBio is not a medical device, diagnostic service, or healthcare provider. Reports generated by the Service are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

2. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for providing accurate DNA raw data files from authorized consumer testing services.
• You must not upload DNA data belonging to another person without their explicit consent.
• You should consult a qualified healthcare provider before making any medication changes based on information from the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. No Medical Advice

The information provided by DecodeMyBio is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or medication. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information from this Service.

4. Accuracy and Limitations

While DecodeMyBio uses established clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed data sources, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of reports. Consumer genotyping arrays have inherent limitations, and pharmacogenomic science is an evolving field. See our Limitations page for detailed information.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DecodeMyBio and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

DecodeMyBio does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

6. Payments and Refunds

The Medication Safety Report is a one-time purchase. Payment is processed through Stripe. Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@decodemybio.com.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, and methodology, is the intellectual property of DecodeMyBio. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without prior written consent. Your generated reports are yours to use and share as you see fit.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@decodemybio.com. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.
